Welcome to the Jetsam Made website ("Website"). By accessing or using this Website, requesting a quotation, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Throughout these Terms, "Jetsam Made", "we", "our" and "us" refers to Jetsam Made. "You" refers to any visitor, customer or user of this Website.

1. About Jetsam Made

Jetsam Made is a bespoke kitchen, furniture and interior design company based in Bristol, United Kingdom.

We design, manufacture and install handcrafted kitchens, cabinetry, furniture and interior features for residential and commercial clients throughout the UK and internationally.

2. Website Use

You may browse and use this Website for lawful purposes only.

You agree not to:

  • misuse or interfere with the Website;

  • copy or reproduce Website content without permission;

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems;

  • use the Website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access where misuse is suspected.

3. Quotations

All quotations are:

  • provided without obligation;

  • valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise;

  • subject to material availability and supplier pricing;

  • based on the information supplied by the customer.

Changes to specifications after a quotation has been issued may result in revised pricing.

4. Design Services

Design concepts, mood boards, drawings, CAD files, renders and specifications remain the intellectual property of Jetsam Made unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Design work may not be copied, reproduced or supplied to another manufacturer without our written permission.

Where design fees are charged separately, these are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.

5. Bespoke Products

Every kitchen, furniture piece and interior feature we create is individually made to order.

As every project is handcrafted:

  • dimensions may vary within accepted manufacturing tolerances;

  • timber grain, colour and natural markings will vary;

  • stone, metal and other natural materials will differ from samples;

  • painted finishes may vary slightly between batches;

  • reclaimed materials will naturally contain imperfections.

These characteristics form part of the uniqueness of bespoke craftsmanship and are not considered defects.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • ensuring measurements supplied are accurate where we are not undertaking a site survey;

  • providing suitable access for delivery and installation;

  • obtaining any necessary planning permission or building regulation approvals unless agreed otherwise;

  • ensuring all information provided to us is accurate.

Where measurements, drawings or specifications are supplied by others, Jetsam Made accepts no responsibility for errors arising from incorrect information.

7. Orders

An order becomes binding once:

  • the quotation has been accepted;

  • any required deposit has been paid; and

  • we have confirmed the order in writing.

Any amendments requested after confirmation may:

  • extend lead times;

  • incur additional costs; or

  • require a revised quotation.

8. Deposits & Payments

Payment schedules will be detailed within your quotation or project agreement.

Failure to make payments by the agreed dates may delay manufacture, delivery or installation.

We reserve the right to suspend work until outstanding balances are settled.

Ownership of goods remains with Jetsam Made until payment has been received in full.

9. Lead Times

Estimated lead times are provided in good faith.

As our products are handcrafted and often rely on specialist suppliers, delivery dates are estimates only.

We shall not be liable for reasonable delays caused by:

  • supplier shortages;

  • transport delays;

  • severe weather;

  • force majeure events;

  • customer-requested design changes;

  • circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10. Delivery & Installation

Customers must ensure:

  • safe and adequate access;

  • suitable parking where required;

  • clear working areas;

  • utilities are available where installation is taking place.

Additional visits required due to site conditions outside our control may incur additional charges.

Risk in goods passes to the customer upon delivery.

11. International Projects

For international commissions, customers are responsible for any applicable:

  • import duties;

  • customs charges;

  • taxes;

  • local permits;

  • customs clearance fees.

Jetsam Made is not responsible for delays caused by customs or international shipping providers.

12. Cancellation

Because our products are bespoke and manufactured specifically for each customer, cancellation rights may be limited once manufacture has begun.

Where work has commenced, we reserve the right to retain deposits and recover costs already incurred.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights available under UK consumer law.

13. Returns

Due to the bespoke nature of our products, made-to-order goods cannot usually be returned unless faulty or not supplied as agreed.

Customers should inspect goods promptly upon delivery and notify us of any issues as soon as reasonably possible.

14. Warranty

We warrant that our workmanship will be carried out using reasonable care and skill.

Natural movement of timber, ageing of finishes, and normal wear are not defects.

Our warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • misuse;

  • neglect;

  • accidental damage;

  • improper maintenance;

  • unauthorised alterations;

  • environmental conditions outside normal domestic use.

Manufacturer warranties for appliances, hardware or third-party products remain with the respective manufacturer.

15. Maintenance

Customers should follow all care instructions provided.

Natural timber, metal and painted finishes require appropriate maintenance.

Failure to maintain products correctly may invalidate applicable warranties.

16. Photography

Unless agreed otherwise, Jetsam Made reserves the right to photograph completed projects for:

  • portfolio use;

  • website content;

  • social media;

  • awards;

  • editorial features;

  • marketing materials.

We will always respect reasonable privacy requests.

17. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website, including:

  • photographs;

  • designs;

  • drawings;

  • logos;

  • graphics;

  • written content;

  • branding;

is owned by or licensed to Jetsam Made.

No content may be copied, reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.

18. Website Accuracy

Whilst every effort is made to ensure information on this Website is accurate, occasional errors may occur.

Images are provided for illustrative purposes only.

Colours and finishes may vary depending on individual screen settings.

We reserve the right to amend Website content at any time without notice.

Nothing within these Terms excludes liability for:

Subject to the above, Jetsam Made shall not be liable for:

  • delays outside our reasonable control.

Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the goods or services supplied under the relevant contract.

20. Force Majeure

Jetsam Made shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • natural disasters;

  • fire;

  • flooding;

  • industrial disputes;

  • pandemics;

  • government restrictions;

  • supplier failure;

  • transport disruption.

21. Privacy

Any personal information submitted via this Website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Jetsam Made accepts no responsibility for the content or operation of third-party websites.

23. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
