Classic Jetsam Made Kitchen
St Werburghs, Bristol
The Original Jetsam Made Kitchen: St Werburgh's, Bristol.
This industrial-Scandi kitchen sits in a Victorian terrace in St Werburgh's, Bristol — the original Jetsam Made kitchen, designed and built by founder Francesca Gaskin for her own home, on a tight budget and with a clear brief: maximise light and space.
Located at the back of the house and facing north, the room was a dark, uninspiring space to start with. Swapping the original door and window for off-the-shelf French doors and a large picture window transformed it, giving an extension-like feel without any major remodelling. The kitchen itself features a sleek steel frame powder-coated in RAL 3022, paired with birch plywood drawers and cupboards finished in a clear matte lacquer.
A brushed stainless steel worktop, handles and sink add a durable, modern edge, while a vintage G-Plan dresser softens the look with character and charm.
Raw plaster walls are accented with playful painted stripes, and custom pieces — including a bespoke dining table and a built-in glass-brick bench — round out a kitchen that's bright and minimal, but full of warmth and personality.
